Dr. Sam Mullen
Please join us in welcoming Dr. Sam Mullen to our team!
Growing up with parents in healthcare, Dr. Mullen knew at an early age that he wanted to serve others. He volunteered at the Hope Circle Cancer Clinic and the Welcome Health Dental Clinic throughout high school and college. After being exposed to the dental field, Dr. Mullen knew he wanted to put his creativity and hands-on skills to work in dentistry. He enjoyed both the social and scientific aspects of the dental field.
Dr. Mullen attended the University of Arkansas, where he gained a bachelor's degree in biology. He then moved to New Orleans, Louisiana, to attend LSU Dental School, where he graduated with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS). While in dental school, Dr. Mullen showed special skill and interest in dental surgery and decided to further his education in the AEGD Program at the Foundry Dental Center in Birmingham, Alabama.
The Foundry Dental Center is a clinic with a mission dedicated to helping individuals in need. The Foundry partners with many outreach programs in the Birmingham area, and Dr. Mullen enjoyed helping the community while furthering his skill set. He gained experience with dental implants, bone grafts, gum grafts, full arch rehabilitation, advanced dental surgeries, oral and IV sedation, root canals, and more.
An avid learner, Dr. Mullen loves to stay up to date on the newest techniques and technologies in the dental field. He is committed to providing the highest quality care while making his patients feel at ease in a dental setting. Dr. Mullen finds joy in explaining his treatment plan and procedures and answering questions so that his patients feel comfortable every step of the way.
While living in New Orleans, Dr. Mullen became an avid foodie, a frequent festival attendee, and a Saints fan. Born and raised in Northeast Arkansas (though we won't hold that against him), Dr. Mullen is an avid sportsman and loves all things outdoors. He is a fisher, hunter, and hiker and loves to grill outside with friends and family. Dr. Mullen met his fiancée, Madi, while attending LSU Dental School. They enjoy traveling, exercising, and trying new restaurants. Dr. Mullen and Madi decided South Louisiana was the perfect place to start their lives together, and they cannot wait to meet the community.
